 How to locate the End Portal within Minecraft

 The End Portal can only be located in the stronghold's portal room

. Eye of Enders can be used to guide you to the stronghold. Then, you will have to dig very deep into the ground to locate it. When you've done that you'll see it suspended over a pool of lava. There's usually at least one Eye of Ender within each End Portal. You have a 10% chance of it generating from an existing one.

By entering the activated End Portal will immediately transport you to the End with no means to stop it. Once you reach the End, you will spawn on a central island with smaller islands around to explore. You'll have to defeat the Ender Dragon on the main island to gain access to the outer islands , or leave The End. This will open up a portal to either 'complete the game' and return to the regular Minecraft overworld as we know it or explore the other islands.

 How do I create an End portal in Minecraft

While survival mode requires you to find a stronghold in order to open an End Portal, creative mode lets you create your own.

12 x Eyes of Ender 12 x Portal Frame Blocks

Mark out a 3x3 section on the ground, and when you are standing within that zone, you must line your Portal Frame Blocks across the length of the 3x3 square.

You can activate the End Portal by placing all 12 Eyes of Ender in the appropriate blocks, regardless of whether you have built it yourself or located one in a Stronghold. Make sure to place all of the Eyes of Ender vertically as the portal will not open in the event that you place even one Eye of Ender horizontally. You'll be able to tell it's worked when you are unable to see the lava (if you're looking at the stronghold version) or the ground (your personal version).
